At Parkwood, we listen to the needs of our residents in order to understand their limitations and discuss potential solutions. Living and Thriving
Nutritional and Wellness Counseling
Many of our community members at Parkwood Assisted Living require some degree of health and well-being monitoring. Our Assisted Living Facility provides complimentary and customizable Nutritional and Dietary Counseling services for all our residents. This is provided by a Registered Dietitian with over 30 years of experience working with older adults. By catering to the personal needs of each resident, we go just one step further to make everyone feel like they’re truly at home at Parkwood. All meals are prepared and cooked in the home from scratch following the menus set forth by the dietitian.
Assisted Living
At Parkwood, we are continually striving to support our residents in any manner that they require. We are uniquely designed to support individuals who are fairly independent and active through to individuals who are nearing the end stages of life and require round the clock support and assistance. We take pride in knowing that when a resident selects Parkwood, they are making a choice that will allow them to thrive and age in place peacefully.
Medical Monitoring and Support
Fully licensed CBRF caregivers, administrators, CNA's and Registered Nurse allow for our residents to receive the necessary care and support that they require to live a full and happy life. Each location is staffed with at least two caregivers at all times providing for a 6:1 resident to staff ratio. This allows for much more individualized attention and support for our residents. Additionally, Parkwood partners with the top area providers to bring in primary care physicians, podiatrists, therapies and supports necessary for ongoing wellness.
Our Communities
Parkwood has two communities, Mill and Green house, which are a 15 and 12 bed community respectively. Both homes have been extensively updated and remodeled over the past few years since new ownership. Nearly all rooms are private rooms that provide their own private half bath. Both buildings are purpose built CBRF's and function well to support the residents in an advanced setting but allow for a home like feel not recognized in a larger facility. Located in gorgeous Glendale, there is an abundance of activities to participate in the area as well as in the home. These are designed by the on staff Activity coordinator who is here to help ensure each resident has an enjoyable day.
